1. Purpose
The MahaBachatGat Consultancy Portal (“Portal”) is a digital consultancy directory and professional networking platform established to connect Consultants with Self Help Groups (SHGs), Women Entrepreneurs, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Cooperatives, NGOs, MSMEs, Government Organisations and other users seeking professional consultancy services.
This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) establishes the standards governing the proper, lawful and responsible use of the Portal. It is intended to protect the interests of all users while maintaining a secure, professional and trustworthy environment.
All users are expected to comply with this Policy while accessing or using the Portal.

2. Scope
This Policy applies to:
• Registered Consultants
• Service Buyers
• Visitors
• Guest Users
• Organisations
• Educational Institutions
• Government Agencies
• Portal Administrators
• Any person accessing or using consultancy.mahabachatgat.in

3. Permitted Use
Users may use the Portal only for legitimate and lawful purposes consistent with its objectives.
Permitted uses include:
• Searching for Consultants.
• Publishing genuine consultancy profiles.
• Listing legitimate consultancy services.
• Contacting Consultants for professional services.
• Requesting quotations and proposals.
• Seeking mentoring, advisory or training services.
• Sharing professional knowledge and information.
• Participating in discussions organised through the Portal.
• Promoting lawful professional services.
Users shall use the Portal responsibly and in a manner that promotes professionalism, transparency and mutual respect.

4. Prohibited Activities
Users shall not use the Portal for any activity that is unlawful, fraudulent, harmful or inconsistent with the objectives of the Portal.
Without limitation, users shall not:
• impersonate any individual or organisation;
• provide false or misleading information;
• create fake Consultant profiles;
• submit forged qualifications or certificates;
• publish inaccurate service descriptions;
• upload unlawful or offensive material;
• transmit malware, viruses or malicious code;
• interfere with Portal security;
• attempt unauthorised access to systems or data;
• misuse another user’s account;
• scrape, harvest or extract Portal data using automated tools;
• send spam, unsolicited promotional messages or bulk communications;
• engage in phishing, identity theft or fraudulent schemes;
• use the Portal for money laundering or unlawful financial activities;
• promote illegal goods or services;
• publish defamatory, obscene or discriminatory content;
• infringe intellectual property rights;
• violate applicable laws or regulations.

5. Consultant Responsibilities
Consultants shall:
• maintain accurate and up-to-date profiles;
• publish truthful information;
• charge fair and transparent consultancy fees;
• communicate professionally with Service Buyers;
• honour commitments made to clients;
• comply with applicable laws and professional standards;
• protect confidential information received during assignments;
• refrain from misleading advertising or false claims.
Consultants remain solely responsible for their professional services and advice.

6. Service Buyer Responsibilities
Service Buyers shall:
• provide accurate information while communicating with Consultants;
• use Consultant contact details only for legitimate professional purposes;
• treat Consultants with courtesy and respect;
• independently verify Consultant credentials before engagement;
• avoid abusive, threatening or inappropriate communications;
• honour agreed payment obligations directly with Consultants.
Service Buyers shall not misuse the Portal to harass, defame or unfairly influence Consultants.

7. Content Standards
All content uploaded or published on the Portal shall:
• be lawful;
• be accurate;
• be professional;
• respect intellectual property rights;
• avoid misleading representations;
• avoid offensive language;
• comply with applicable laws.
The Portal may remove any content that, in its opinion, violates this Policy or adversely affects the integrity of the Portal.

8. Professional Conduct
Users are expected to maintain high standards of professional conduct.
Users shall not:
• engage in harassment or intimidation;
• use abusive or threatening language;
• discriminate on the basis of religion, caste, gender, disability, ethnicity or other protected characteristics;
• damage the reputation of other users through false or malicious statements;
• encourage unlawful activities.
Professional and respectful communication is expected at all times.

9. Intellectual Property
Users shall respect the intellectual property rights of the Portal, Consultants and third parties.
Users shall not reproduce, copy, distribute, modify or commercially exploit content published on the Portal without appropriate authorisation.

10. Information Security
Users shall not:
• attempt to compromise Portal security;
• introduce malicious software;
• bypass authentication mechanisms;
• interfere with Portal operations;
• attempt unauthorised access to databases or user accounts.
Any such activity may result in immediate suspension of access and may be reported to appropriate authorities.

11. Communications
Users shall use communication facilities provided through or in connection with the Portal responsibly.
The following are prohibited:
• spam communications;
• unsolicited commercial messages;
• fraudulent offers;
• misleading advertisements;
• offensive or abusive communications;
• repeated unwanted contact.

12. Monitoring and Enforcement
To protect the integrity and security of the Portal, the Portal may monitor user activities to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Where a violation of this Policy is identified, the Portal may take appropriate administrative action, including:
• issuing warnings;
• requesting correction of information;
• temporarily restricting access;
• removing content;
• suspending accounts;
• terminating registrations;
• reporting unlawful activities to competent authorities.

13. Reporting Misuse
Users who become aware of misuse of the Portal are encouraged to report the matter to the Portal Administrator.
Reports should include sufficient information to enable investigation.
The Portal will review reports in accordance with its Grievance Redressal Policy and applicable laws.

14. Consequences of Policy Violations
Violation of this Policy may result in one or more of the following actions:
• warning notices;
• temporary suspension;
• permanent removal of listings;
• account termination;
• restriction of future registration;
• reporting to regulatory or law enforcement authorities where required.
The Portal reserves the right to determine the appropriate administrative action based on the nature and seriousness of the violation.

15. Policy Updates
This Acceptable Use Policy may be revised periodically to reflect changes in applicable laws, operational requirements or technological developments.
The latest version published on the Portal shall supersede all previous versions.
Continued use of the Portal after publication of revisions constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
